Coach

Lysette Deshields

Lysette began as a CrossFit athlete who excelled in gymnastics movements and conditioning; however, she eventually realized that she lacked the knowledge of the technical aspects surrounding Olympic Weightlifting. With a strong interest in becoming stronger and learning more about the sport of Olympic Weightlifting, she decided to take the leap and join OSS as an athlete in 2018. She has competed and served as a technical official at both local and National-level Olympic Weightlifting meets.

“Joining OSS and transitioning into the sport of Olympic Weightlifting has truly been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my fitness journey. Not only have I become stronger and more proficient at the Olympic lifts, but I have also become a part of a family who push me beyond my limits and make me believe that I am capable of things that I may have otherwise doubted in myself. I find so much joy in coaching and hope to continue making a difference in other’s lives just as much as OSS has made in mine.”
